The songs from the lunch room are a compilation of songs I knew something about since I’ve been a lunch room coordinator for 14 years and food tour guide for the last five. You may notice a theme? Are you getting hungry? Thinking of lunch? Pickles, grapes and the sandwich song were the first songs I wrote. Cheeseburger and fries only made sense if you went to Calvary Chapel schools where you had to eat chips instead of fries. All the tracks were laid in a makeshift studio with my brother Barry playing the drums, me on the guitar and an amazing sound man named Tim Gibson. If it wasn’t for Tim theses songs would never have been made. The songs with just me and my guitar were recorded and produced in the amazing Mr. Mike’s Harvest Christian Fellowship’s office/studio. This is about as grassroots as it gets. The purpose for the CD is to get young children and parents singing together and having fun as we worship the Lord. Many of the Moms at harvest have asked for the music to play at home and many Missionaries wanted a CD to bring back to their villages. I prayed about the amount that the CD should cost and I kept getting to the number eight. The CDs will be eight dollars. Number eight in the Bible is a new beginning, a new order, or creation. This album represents the beginning of His calling on my life. Sorry Mom and Dad, these songs get stuck in your head but, Have fun!!
